Vocollect Introduces VoiceWeaver for SAP Customers
NetWeaver-based solution provides native integration between SAP and Vocollect
Vocollect, Inc., the world leader in voice solutions for mobile workers, in conjunction with the SAP Sapphire '09 show in Orlando May 11–14, announced the introduction of VoiceWeaver, a native interface to SAP's NetWeaver Warehouse Management (WM) and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) solutions.
Vocollect's VoiceWeaver gives the SAP distribution center (DC)/warehouse the advantage of a native NetWeaver interface to its existing SAP infrastructure to fully leverage the capability of Vocollect's voice offerings to improve productivity, accuracy, safety and worker satisfaction.
Commercially available this fall, the Vocollect VoiceWeaver SAP interface helps SAP distribution and logistics operations to obtain the same efficiency improvements in picking, replenishment, put-away, cycle-counting and other tasks as those experienced by Vocollect's thousands of customer organizations that utilize other WMS solutions. VoiceWeaver provides real-time data synchronization for SAP ERP operations seeking to enable Vocollect Voice with the SAP WM or EWM solution. Its simple configuration and user-directed administration tools support the entire enterprise, whether one DC/warehouse or multiple sites.
"We're excited to bring Vocollect's industry-leading voice solutions to the SAP community, with an enterprise-grade voice offering that fully leverages existing SAP NetWeaver technology infrastructure and workforce skill sets," said Tom Upshur, vice president of product management and marketing, Vocollect, Inc. "More than 250,000 workers use Vocollect Voice worldwide, every day moving over two billion dollars' worth of products from DCs and warehouses to customer locations. VoiceWeaver now gives SAP customers a choice — they can implement Vocollect Voice with their SAP WM or EWM module, or do so in collaboration with one of our many best-of-breed Warehouse Management Solution (WMS) and supply chain management (SCM) partners," Upshur said.
